Europe’s Daughters respects your privacy and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and other applicable data-protection laws.

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used and protected when you visit our website, contact us, join our community, purchase a membership or participate in our classes and events.

1. Data Controller

The controller responsible for the processing of personal data is:

Savannah Helena Alphonso
trading as “Europe’s Daughters” / Savannah Helena Alphonso e.U.

Svarvargatan 20, 112 49, Stockholm, SWEDEN

Email: alphonso@europeanresgroup.com

2. Personal Data We May Collect

Depending on how you interact with Europe’s Daughters, we may process information including:

  • your name;

  • email address;

  • telephone number;

  • billing and transaction information;

  • membership and booking information;

  • information you provide when contacting us;

  • attendance information;

  • communication preferences;

  • photographs or videos where applicable;

  • technical information associated with your use of our website, such as IP address, browser information and device information; and

  • other information you voluntarily provide to us.

Please avoid sending sensitive medical information unless it is genuinely necessary for the safe organisation of an activity.

3. Why We Process Your Data

We may process personal data in order to:

  • manage bookings, memberships and payments;

  • provide classes, events and other services;

  • communicate with participants regarding bookings or memberships;

  • answer enquiries;

  • administer our community and waiting lists;

  • operate and secure our website;

  • comply with legal, accounting and tax obligations;

  • protect the safety and legitimate interests of participants and Europe’s Daughters;

  • send newsletters or marketing communications where legally permitted; and

  • use photographs or videos where we have an appropriate legal basis to do so.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on the circumstances, we process personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:

Performance of a contract — Article 6(1)(b) GDPR
Where processing is necessary to provide a membership, ticket, class, event or another service you have requested.

Legal obligation — Article 6(1)(c) GDPR
Where we are required to retain or process information for legal, tax, accounting or regulatory purposes.

Legitimate interests — Article 6(1)(f) GDPR
Where processing is necessary for legitimate business purposes, such as operating and securing our services, preventing misuse and managing our organisation, provided that those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.

Consent — Article 6(1)(a) GDPR
Where you have expressly consented to particular processing, for example certain marketing communications or uses of photographs or video.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.

5. Bookings and Payments

When you purchase a ticket, membership or other service, we process the information necessary to administer the transaction and provide the relevant service.

Payments may be processed by independent payment-service providers. Payment information may therefore be transmitted directly to the relevant provider rather than being stored by Europe’s Daughters.

Current payment providers: Stripe / PayPal / Squarespace Payments

Their processing of personal data may also be governed by their respective privacy policies.

6. Website Hosting and Squarespace

Our website is operated using Squarespace.

When you access the website, technical information may be processed in order to display, operate, maintain and secure the website.

Squarespace and its service providers may process information on our behalf or as independent controllers depending on the relevant service.

Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards are used where required by applicable data-protection law.

7. Cookies and Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies that are technically necessary for the website to function.

Additional analytics, marketing or advertising technologies will only be used where permitted under applicable law and, where required, after obtaining your consent.

You can manage applicable cookie preferences through the cookie settings available on our website (Squarespace Analytics, Google Analytics).

8. Newsletters and Marketing

If you subscribe to a newsletter or otherwise consent to receiving marketing communications, we may use your contact details to send information about Europe’s Daughters, including classes, events, memberships and community activities.

You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe function contained in the relevant communication or by contacting us.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

9. WhatsApp and Other Community Platforms

Where you voluntarily join a Europe’s Daughters WhatsApp group or another external community platform, your use of that service is also subject to the privacy practices and terms of the relevant provider.

Depending on your settings and the platform used, information such as your name, profile picture, telephone number or messages may be visible to other members of the group.

Participation in such groups is voluntary unless expressly stated otherwise.

10. Photographs and Video

Photographs and video recordings may be created at certain Europe’s Daughters activities.

Where identifiable images are processed or published, we will do so on an appropriate legal basis and in accordance with applicable data-protection and image-rights requirements.

Where processing relies on consent, that consent may be withdrawn for future use.

If you have concerns regarding an image of you published by Europe’s Daughters, please contact us at alphonso@europeanresgroup.com.

11. Sharing Personal Data

We do not sell personal data.

We may share personal data where necessary with service providers or partners involved in operating Europe’s Daughters, including:

  • website and hosting providers;

  • payment providers;

  • booking and ticketing platforms;

  • email and communication providers;

  • professional advisers;

  • coaches, organisers or venues where information is genuinely necessary to provide an activity; and

  • public authorities where disclosure is legally required.

Service providers processing data on our behalf are required to handle personal data appropriately and in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.

12. International Data Transfers

Some service providers used by Europe’s Daughters may process data outside Germany or the European Economic Area.

Where GDPR requires safeguards for such transfers, we rely on an appropriate legal transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or applicable standard contractual clauses.

13. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or for as long as required by applicable law.

Contractual, accounting and transaction information may be retained for applicable statutory retention periods.

Information processed solely on the basis of consent will generally no longer be used for that purpose once consent has been withdrawn, unless another legal basis requires or permits continued storage.

14. Your Rights

Subject to the requirements of applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • request access to your personal data;

  • request correction of inaccurate personal data;

  • request deletion of your personal data;

  • request restriction of processing;

  • object to certain processing;

  • receive certain personal data in a portable format;

  • withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent; and

  • lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority.

To exercise your rights, contact us at alphonso@europeanresgroup.com.

15. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, disclosure or misuse.

However, no online transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

16. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy where our services, technology or legal obligations change.

The current version will always be made available on our website and will display the date of the latest update.
